A BIG THANK YOU FROM HELP VEGA BAJA
The HELP Association of Vega Baja held their Spring Fayre at the Pizzeria Asturias Restaurant at Punta Prima on Saturday 24th April.
A fantastic €3000 was raised on the day and a huge thank you is due to everyone who helped to organise or attended the event. This money will enable HELP to continue supporting the community of the Vega Baja.
The success of this and other events run by HELP Vega Baja is down to the efforts of a dedicated volunteer team who work hard throughout the year organising these events, as well as baking, knitting, sewing, sorting and preparing items for sale.
Thanks must also go to the media for their help in publicising the event and in particular to Carlos for allowing the use of the Pizzeria Asturias Restaurant, and to all his staff who assisted in the course of the day.

Emergency LineThe volunteers who man our 24 hour emergency line both day and night respond to a variety of calls. Typical enquiries are ‘what to do when a death occurs’ – They are also asked what to do when someone is taken ill in the night, or has been robbed. Other calls include enquiries about loss of passports and for locksmiths. To obtain the numbers of the volunteers on duty when the office is closed just call 966 723 733.
